Lucy grew up training in all different styles of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acrobatics, PBT, Strength and Conditioning. Throughout her ballet education she has trained in the Vaganova Syllabus as well as completed exams with both the Royal Academey of Dance and Australian Conservatoire of Ballet.

Lucy completed her Pre-Professional Diploma with the Victorian State Ballet and upon graduation was offer a position with the company. She danced professionally with the company in Melbourne as well as touring and performing all over Australia. She has also worked with Masters of Choreography, Bloch Australia and has taught with many dance schools across Melbourne.

Lucy’s love of dance and the way the body works to create this beautiful art form has lead her to studies in anatomy, physiology, nutrition and personal training. These studies have allowed her to gain a deeper understanding into the science behind what we do as well as better her knowledge in injury prevention/management and safe dance practice. Lucy is also very excited to be currently undertaking her Professional Dancers Postgraduate Teaching Diploma with the Royal Academy of Dance.

Lucy is really looking forward to directing Australian Dance Company’s 2024 production of Sleeping Beauty and working with all the talented young dancers!
